I’m Teagan Kavan, a softball pitcher from West Des Moines, Iowa, and proud of my midwest roots. From an early age softball was my favorite activity. It was the thing that allowed me to feel most like myself, and taught me so much: to believe in myself; to be disciplined, to work hard, and to persevere through ups and downs.
From my very first time on the field in a bright pink “Bunnies” uniform to now proudly representing the University of Texas at Austin, I’m grateful for the journey that’s brought me here.
On the field in 2025, I led the Texas Longhorns softball team to its first national title in the program’s history and set a Women’s College World Series record with zero earned runs in 31 ⅔ innings pitched. I was honored to be named the Most Outstanding Player in the series. In 2024, I became the first freshman in Texas history to throw a complete game shutout in my World Series debut.
I’m where I am today because of everyone who has believed in and supported me. This game has given me so much and I love sharing what I’ve learned along the way with others.
